Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- There took place in Santiago City, Chile on Feb. 1 a demo against the U.S. moves for stifling the DPRK under the sponsorship of the Communist Party of Chile (Proletarian Action). Hundreds of people took part in the demo including the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Chile (Proletarian Action) and other members of the party leadership, party members of the city and members of trade union. A statement of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of Chile (Proletarian Action) was read out at the beginning of the demo. The UN Security Council now moves under the control of the U.S. to deprive the DPRK of its inviolable right to explore space, the statement said, and went on: It is quite natural that the Korean people brand the UNSC as a tool and puppet serving the U.S. This resolute and just estimation represents the Koreans' firm will and intention to defend the national dignity and not to allow the interference in their internal affairs. There is no doubt that the UN is applying the double standards by which it keeps silence about some countries possessing lots of A-bombs, long-range missiles and weapons of mass destruction and constantly violating the UN resolutions. We call on the world people aspiring after independence and socialism against imperialism to add their voices to the growing chorus against the U.S. imperialists' moves against the DPRK. We will stand by the Korean people led by the dear respected Kim Jong Un. The demonstrators marched along the street from the U.S. embassy in Santiago de Chile, holding the DPRK's flag and placards that read "We Support People's Korea" and "Down with U.S. Imperialism!" and chanting anti-U.S. slogans. |
