Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The United Confederation of Koreans in the Far Eastern Region of Russia held an event in Nakhodka City on Monday. It was to celebrate the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star). On displayed in the venue of the event were a photo of Kim Jong Il inspecting a unit of the Korean People's Army and photos of him and the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un giving field guidance to different fields of national economy. Displayed there were a photo of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, sacred temple of Juche, works of Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un and books dealing with their greatness. The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before a full-length painting of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them. Messages of greeting to Kim Jong Un were conveyed to the DPRK consul general in Nakhodka. Speakers praised Kim Jong Il as the peerlessly brilliant commander and peerless patriot who frustrated all the persistent moves of the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces to stifle the DPRK with his outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership and fully demonstrated the dignity and glory of the country and the nation. Kim Jong Il is alive in the hearts of the world progressives as he performed extraordinary feats for the cause of national reunification and the human cause of independence, they said. Saying that Marshal Kim Jong Un is the people's leader possessed of the matchless pluck and grit, outstanding commanding ability and noble outlook on posterity, they noted with high appreciation that he has been admired as the greatest man in the world. The DPRK remains undaunted as it is led by Kim Jong Un though the U.S. and other hostile forces make much fuss over the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes, they said, adding only victory and glory are in store for the DPRK. The participants looked round photos and books on display and watched video "The World Saw the DPRK in 2012". |
