Exemplary Primary Information Workers of Youth League Make Study Tour

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Exemplary primary information workers of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League from across the country made a study tour of leader Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp from Feb. 2 to 7 with the approach of his birth anniversary. During the period of study tour, they laid floral baskets and bunches of flowers before the statues of President Kim Il Sung before the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo Memorial Tower, the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site, the Chongbong Bivouac Ground, the shore of Lake Samji and a mosaic depicting the three commanders of Mt. Paektu standing near Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp and paid tribute to them. They looked round the then Command Post of the Pochonbo Battle, police post and the sub-county office of the Japanese imperialists, etc. in Pochonbo. They arrived at the secret camp via the Spring Site in Poso-ri, Tableland of Junghung, Phothae Revolutionary Site, Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site and the Chongbong Bivouac Ground and held an oath-taking meeting before the old home of Kim Jong Il. They expressed their firm will to become ardent fighters who deeply trust and follow the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un in any adversity by learning from the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners' spirit of devotedly defending the leader. Being briefed on the fact that Kim Jong Il was born and grew up to be a great man, they looked round historic relics preserved in the old house with care. They looked round the Samjiyon Grand Monument and the township which changed its appearance beyond recognition. During the study tour they had diverse political and cultural events including a question-and-answer contest on the New Year Address made by Kim Jong Un, meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas read by them, contest of singing revolutionary songs while marching in array and recreation gathering. |
