Anti-DPRK "Resolution" Will Only Lead to War: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The north-south relations remain extremely strained and a grave situation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula. This is attributable to the unprecedented anti-DPRK actions of the U.S. and its allies which fabricated the UN Security Council's "resolution on sanctions," taking issue with the DPRK's legitimate satellite launch for peaceful purposes. Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes this in a bylined article. It goes on: The Lee Myung Bak group of south Korea obsessed with extreme repugnance towards fellow countrymen is set to implement the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK in real earnest. It is frantically staging saber-rattling in collusion with the U.S., pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme pitch of tension. Its racket for "sanctions" against the DPRK is a brigandish, hostile act to infringe upon the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK. The "sanctions" will lead to a war. It is needless to say that the anti-DPRK "sanctions" row of the U.S. and its allies is nothing but a means for invading the DPRK. It is nobody's secret that the U.S. aggression of anti-U.S. independent countries starts from "UN sanctions" and "independent sanctions" and they will lead to military attack. The U.S. is about to apply the same order of invasion against the DPRK. The U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces seek a prompt adoption of a resolution on "additional sanctions" in case of "the north's additional provocation" and try to invoke Article 42 of Chapter 7 of the UN Charter which calls for military "sanctions". The above-said anti-DPRK "sanctions" racket is reaching a very dangerous phase. It is as clear as noonday that if it is overlooked, a nuclear war for invading the DPRK will break about on the Korean Peninsula in the end. The DPRK is fully ready to cope with the economic and military "sanctions" by the U.S. and its allies. Those who hurt the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK even a bit will never be able to escape merciless retaliatory blows. |
