S. Korean Court Sentences Pro-Reunification Patriot to Jail Terms

| Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Seoul Central District Court of south Korea sentenced Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance of Korea's Reunification, to four years in prison and four years' suspension of qualifications and its general secretary to three years in prison and three years' suspension of qualifications on charges of violation of the draconian "Security Law". These legal actions were taken against Ro on the charge that he visited the north without the "government" permission, "benefiting the enemy" and against the secretary general on the charge that he helped the former in his work. The action taken by the group of traitors against Ro for paying a visit to Pyongyang to honor the memory of leader Kim Jong Il is touching off bitter resentment among all Koreans. |
