The statement said:

A touch-and-go situation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula due to the U.S. and its allies' hostile policy toward the DPRK.

In this regard the DPRK clarified in the strong terms in a series of statements its principled and resolute stand to counter all forms of aggression and moves to stifle it.

Our party valuing relations with the Workers' Party of Korea and the friendly Korean people is closely watching with deep concern the tense situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula.

Availing itself of this opportunity, our party expresses full support and solidarity for the WPK and the Korean people in their just struggle to ensure security and peace of the region and defend sovereignty of the country and the dignity and honor of the nation.

Our party recognizes that all measures taken by the DPRK are legitimate right for safeguarding itself.

We take this opportunity to wish the WPK greater success in its efforts to build a thriving socialist nation and reunify the divided country by the Koreans themselves under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK.
