U.S. Talk about "Rebalance" in Asia-Pacific under Fire

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- There is a dangerous military movement of the U.S. in the Asia-Pacific region under the pretext of "rebalance" there. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a bylined article in this regard: The theory of "rebalance" much touted by the U.S. precisely means a call for beefing up its armed forces in the region. The U.S. imperialists' pivot to Asia-Pacific strategy is sparking off protest from the world people. Under this situation the U.S. is asserting that whether to ensure peace in the region or not depends on maintaining "rebalance". This is prompted by its intention to deter the world people from directing the spearhead of their struggle for defending peace to opposing its war policy. It is also aimed at laying a military siege to its neighboring countries in the region by massively beefing up its armed forces. Through this the U.S. seeks to bar those countries from joining in the arms race and step up the formation of the siege to the region. It is the principal objective of the U.S. to mount a preemptive strike at the DPRK. The U.S. is working hard to bring the DPRK to its knees and force it to lower its socialist flag through aggression and war It is sophism for the U.S. to claim that peace is ensured in the region because of the "balance" preserved there by the U.S. imperialist aggression forces. But it is thanks to the relentless struggle for peace against war and tremendous war deterrence of the DPRK that a new war has not broken out so far. It is a foolish daydream for the U.S. war-like forces to dare invade the DPRK, which has always kept to the road of Songun to cope with the situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula. |
