The service personnel and people of the DPRK felt deep remorse for failing to erect even a single statue of Kim Jong Il in his lifetime in those days when they were overcome with the deep grief over his untimely demise.

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, taking the strong desire of all the service personnel and people into consideration, saw to it that the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were erected at the studio.

The studio was honored to have the statues erected before any others on the occasion of the first Day of the Shining Star last year.

They have drawn more than 410 000 visitors of over 3 970 organizations over the last one year since their erection.

They included senior party, state and army officials, veteran anti-Japanese fighters, service personnel and people from all walks of life, youth and students. They laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues before paying tribute to them.

Overseas Koreans and many foreigners also visited the statues and paid tribute to them.
