Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Korean film shows took place in Romania, Indonesia, Democratic Congo, Singapore and Thailand in the period between February 1 and 6 to mark the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star). Films shown included "Birthplace of Kim Jong Il in Mt. Paektu in All Its Glory" and "Korean People's Army, Steel-Strong Ranks". The general secretary of the Central Directive Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle said that thanks to Kim Jong Il, the DPRK could emerge a dignified country standing firm against the U.S. styling itself "the world's only super power". He noted that the DPRK, though small in its territory, is the only country in the world which stands firm against big powers to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the nation. The chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Democratic Congo stressed that the validity and vitality of the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il have been more clearly proved to enjoy full support and sympathy of progressive people. The U.S. and its followers cooked up the UN Security Council's illegal "resolution" against the DPRK, taking issue with its satellite launch for peaceful purposes, but it remains undeterred thanks to the tremendous national power provided by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the outstanding leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, he added. |
