Day of Shining Star Observed by Indian Papers
Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Papers of India carried special write-ups to mark the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star).

The New Delhi Times on Feb. 4 devoted its one whole page to a special write-up titled "On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the great leader Kim Jong Il". It carried his photo.

The paper in an article titled "Legacy of leader Kim Jong Il" said he left as his legacy the gigantic exploits guaranteeing the eternal foundation of socialist Korea and its rosy future.

The undying exploits he performed all his life will shine long as a valuable legacy ensuring the victory of the socialist cause in the DPRK and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence, it added.

The Defence and Humanity on Feb. 5 carried his photo and allotted its one page to a special write-up with various articles.

The paper noted the biggest exploit of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, is that he safeguarded the destiny of socialism and brought about a new era of upswing in accomplishing the cause of socialism.

Thanks to Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the DPRK, the undying feats of Kim Jong Il for the cause of socialism will shine long, the paper added.
