U.S., S. Korean Warmongers Kick Off Reckless War Maneuvers against DPRK

Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myong Bak group of traitors in south Korea kicked up large-scale war maneuvers against the DPRK under the pretext of "coping with military provocation" from it, while taking issue with it over its third underground nuclear test.

Involved in the war exercises were the U.S. imperialist aggression forces and the three services of the south Korean puppet army.

The south Korean navy is staging large-scale naval mobile drills in the East Sea and West Sea of Korea from Feb. 13 with scores of warships involved, according to south Korean CBS (Christian Broadcasting System).

The operation command of the south Korean air force and the U.S. Seventh Air Force started a drill for wartime operation on Feb. 12, and the Second Artillery Brigade of the south Korean ground force announced that it will stage a fire strike drill at the artillery shelling ground in the central sector of the front in south Korean Kangwon Province from Feb. 15.

The 20th and 55th divisions of the south Korean ground force are contemplating staging attack exercises, including an exercise for crossing the South Han River, in Ryoju and Yangphyong, Kyonggi Province from Feb. 18 to 22 with huge armed forces, tanks, artillery pieces and other combat equipment involved.
