A Pyongyang army-people rally took place at Kim Il Sung Square here on Thursday to hail the nuclear test.

At the rally, the speakers praised the successful test, a demonstration of diversified nuclear deterrence, as a special event declaring that the DPRK emerged a full-fledged nuclear power, not merely a nuclear weapons state.

Ho Thaek Jin, manager of the Pyongyang Elevator Factory, told KCNA:

"The test boosted the factory employees' pride and confidence in the country's defence capabilities.

I, on behalf of them, extend heartfelt congratulations to the scientists, technicians, workers and officials who contributed to the successful nuclear test, a telling blow to the U.S. and its followers hell-bent on anti-DPRK moves."

Jong Yong Bok, a workshop head of the factory, said:

"The test was conducted at a time when the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK was becoming evermore undisguised. Thereby, it is an admirable action taken in defence of the nation's dignity and sovereignty.

The final victory is in store for the DPRK as it boasts of the single-minded unity of all the people around the dear respected Kim Jong Un and powerful military strength."
