The institution is of weighty significance in glorifying the immortal exploits of his revolutionary career and immortal feats forever and making all the Party members, service personnel and people live and work as his soldiers and disciples.

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un made sure that service personnel, scientists, technicians and labor innovators who have performed brilliant feats in the defence of the country and in the building of a thriving socialist nation were awarded watches on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il.

The first ceremony for conferring watches was held at the conference hall of the Central Committee of the WPK.

Marshal Kim Jong Un was present at the ceremony.

An awarding address was made by Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.

He said that the recipients of the watches should lead a worthy and brilliant life as backbone of the Korean revolution, always feeling grateful to the party for making them honored with watches bearing the august name of Kim Jong Il before any others.

They renewed their resolution to always hold President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the sun of Juche and steadfastly advance along the road of the Songun revolution, true to the leadership of the party.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Kyong Hui, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Pak To Chun, Kim Yong Chun, Kang Sok Ju, Ri Yong Mu, O Kuk Ryol, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Yong Il, Kim Phyong Hae, Kwak Pom Gi, Mun Kyong Dok, Ju Kyu Chang and Jo Yon Jun and other officials of the Central Committee of the WPK and armed forces organs.
