Former Peruvian Legislators Reject UNSC's "Resolution" against DPRK
Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Rolando Brena Pantoja, Tani Baler Lopera and Oscar Felipe Bentura and other former Peruvian legislators on January 31 sent a joint letter to the UN Security Council protesting against its unjust anti-DPRK "resolution".

The letter said:

We express indignation at the UNSC which fabricated a "resolution" against the DPRK over its launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 in accordance to its program for space development for peaceful purposes.

The government and people of the DPRK have the right to conduct scientific research for its peaceful progress and development. They have the universally recognized right to use space for peaceful purposes.

The U.S. prodded the UNSC into cooking up a "resolution" against the DPRK out of its enmity towards the latter.

Regretful is the fact that member states of the UNSC joined in fabricating such "resolution" threatening the DPRK.

We reject the "resolution" of the UNSC which takes issue with the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes.

The UNSC should respect the sovereignty of the DPRK.
