Tribute Paid to Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Senior party and state officials including Kim Yong Nam and Choe Yong Rim, the chairperson of a friendly party and officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Saturday, the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) and paid tribute to him.

Seen before their statues was a floral basket with a ribbon bearing the august name of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Also placed before them was a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet.

The participants paid high tribute to the statues.

At the halls of immortality where Kim Jong Il lies in state, they made bows to him in humblest reverence.

They went round the hall where orders Kim Jong Il received are on display and halls which house car, electric car, boat and train coach used by him.
