Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Ro Kil Nam, representative of Minjok Thongsin, an internet paper of Koreans in the U.S., on Feb. 13 issued an article hailing the DPRK's third underground nuclear test. The successful nuclear test of the north reinforced the conviction and courage of many countries aspiring after independence, the article said. The north has built socialism of Juche despite the moves of the U.S. imperialists to isolate and stifle it, holding fast to the line of being independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, with the leader, party, army and people closely united as one, the article said. The north has emerged a political, ideological, military power and space power which the U.S. imperialists dare not provoke, it noted. The U.S. and other UNSC member nations insist that it is only they who are allowed to launch satellites and conduct nuclear tests, it said, and went on: Any country in the world has the right to launch a satellite. Their assertion is contrary to reason and common sense. Japan and south Korea, in particular, are behaving like dogs to meet the interests of the U.S. imperialists, after being Americanized. They keep mum about the fact that the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula was spawned by the U.S. The DPRK's successful third underground nuclear test demonstrated the powerful might of self-defence to defend its sovereignty itself. It is, at the same time, a historic event in which it dealt a deadly blow at the U.S. imperialists and their followers wantonly violating the independent right of sovereign states. It was the successful satellite launch and third underground nuclear test that helped the world know that the position and role of those countries aspiring after independent development have been remarkably enhanced and the DPRK is advancing at their head. |
