The statement extended solidarity to the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in its efforts to build a thriving socialist nation and protect the sovereignty and dignity of the country.

It said that the principled and steadfast stand taken by the DPRK toward the UN Security Council's "resolution on sanctions" against it over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes is a very just step in line with the desire of independent countries.

It expressed full support for the WPK and the Korean people in their struggle to ensure peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of the world and achieve the reunification of the country free from interference of outsiders.

It wished the Korean people greater success in their efforts to build an economic giant under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK.
