Anatoli Dolgachev, member of the Maritime Territory Legislative Assembly of Russia, said that the recent nuclear test of the DPRK fully demonstrated its will to defend the sovereignty and security of the country.

It was a natural product of the U.S. hateful hostile policy toward the DPRK, he added.

Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is possible only when the whole world is denuclearized, he noted, stressing it is preposterous for the nuclear weapons states to take issue with the DPRK's nuclear test.

The powerful nuclear deterrence of the DPRK provides a sure guarantee for protecting the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia, he added.

Baranikova, chief editor of the Russian paper We Serve the Country, extended congratulations to the independent and dignified DPRK.

An unstable situation is prevailing in the Asia-Pacific region due to the U.S. moves for aggression.
