Officials in DPRK Vow to Achieve Victory in Decisive Battle with Enemies

Pyongyang, February 18 (KCNA) -- Officials of different social standings of the DPRK vowed to turn out in an all-out confrontation with hostile forces including the U.S., which is taking issue with the DPRK's measure for self-defense, and thus demonstrate the dignity and might of Songun Korea and achieve the victory without fail. Hwang Yong Nam, department director of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology, said: The DPRK's successful nuclear test fully demonstrated that its army and people are dynamically advancing along the road chosen by themselves without the slightest vacillation despite enemy's provocation. He vowed to give full play to intelligence and high caliber to push back the frontiers of latest science and technology by learning from the traits of the scientists and technicians who conquered space and succeeded in conducting the nuclear test. Kim Hyong Nam, secretary of the Songyo District People's Committee, said that the nuclear test was the just step for self-defense taken by the Korean people, stressing that he will never allow the enemies to encroach upon the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation even a bit. Choe Yong Chol, manager of the Songyo Knitted Goods Factory, noted that this nuclear test dealt the hostile forces including the U.S. merciless blows. The enemies must see the spirit of the Korean people who value the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation, he stressed. Jo Ju Yong, chief engineer of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, said that the army and people of the DPRK will end the all-out confrontation with the U.S. that lasts century after century and triumphantly build a socialist thriving nation, the most powerful country on this land. |
