It was dedicated to the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il, the eternal leader of the WPK, scores of years ago.

The poem expresses gratitude to the WPK for taking good care of the people like their own mother.

Kim Yong Thaek, a writer of the C.C., the Writers Union of Korea, told KCNA:

"In his notes Kim Chol wrote, 'I just reflected the people's view of the WPK in the poem. The motherly party exactly means leader Kim Jong Il.'

Kim Jong Il's loving care for the people, regardless of their career or family backgrounds, led to the birth of such masterpiece.

The WPK is so admirable with Kim Jong Il as its eternal leader."

Kim Hyang Sim, a Pyongyang citizen, said:

"Such political party called motherly as the WPK can be found in no other countries.

The WPK regards it as its duty to work for the wellbeing of all the people."

Ri Chol Ho, an officer of the Korean People's Army, said:

"The lyric poem inspires servicepersons to unhesitatingly dedicate their lives for the sake of the WPK.

I would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Generalissimo Kim Jong Il for having built the WPK into a motherly party embracing all the people."
