The human cause of independence has steadfastly advanced despite a stern trial of history and this would be unthinkable without Kim Jong Il, leader of the DPRK, the statement said, adding:

It was an event to be specially recorded in the history of accomplishing the human cause of independence that he formulated President Kim Il Sung's revolutionary idea as an integral system of idea, theory and method of Juche.

He authored lots of works including "On the Juche Idea," developing in depth, reviewing and systematizing the Juche idea founded by Kim Il Sung.

The Juche idea was rapidly disseminated abroad and officially recognized as an idea guiding the cause of independence. The world progressives came to have a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon for building a world free from all sorts of exploitation, binding, domination and subjugation.

He established a perfect theory of socialism.

He authored a series of immortal works, proving the validity and truth of the socialist idea and its inevitable victory and comprehensively clarifying theoretical and practical issues in accomplishing the human cause of independence late in the 20th century when the imperialists noisily trumpeted about "the final end of socialism" with its collapse in various countries as an occasion.
