The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the portraits of great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at an office of the confederation before paying tribute to them.

Chairman of the confederation Pak Kyong Ho made a speech.

He said he recollected with deep emotion the shining revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il, who performed the undying feats for the country and its people, on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.

The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where he lies in state was remodeled in the most sublime manner as the sacred temple of Juche, Pak noted, adding:

His cause is being successfully carried forward generation after generation by the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. The DPRK will be built into a thriving country and Korea will certainly be reunified thanks to his wise leadership.

The confederation and compatriots will make positive contributions to opening up an epochal phase of national reunification this year.

The participants watched a Korean film showing the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il giving field guidance to the work in different domains of the national economy.

A performance was given by Korean artistes on the same day to celebrate the Day of the Shining Star.
