Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Ui Chun, foreign minister, and officials concerned.

The ambassador said at the reception that the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il was an immortal life dedicated to increasing the national power of the DPRK, building socialism and improving the people's living standard.

He noted that Cuba would as ever stand by the fraternal Korean people in the struggle for sovereignty, socialist construction and national reunification.

He on behalf of the Cuban party, government and people sincerely wished the dear respected Kim Jong Un good health and greater success in his work for the happiness and prosperity of the Korean people

Kim Yong Il noted that the Cuban comrades significantly celebrate the Day of the Shining Star every year, adding that it is an expression of their reverence for Kim Jong Il.

His undying revolutionary career and feats are shining thanks to Kim Jong Un, he noted.

The DPRK will steadily strengthen and develop the ties of friendship and cooperation with Cuba and extend full support and solidarity to the just struggle of the Cuban people, he stressed.
