Kim Jong Il Lauded as Eternal Leader of Progressive People

Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. They included ceremonies of opening Korean book, photo and fine art exhibitions in Russia and Mexico and Korean book and photo exhibitions in Indonesia, Romania and South Africa between Feb. 9 and 16. Displayed at the venues were photos showing the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un. Also displayed there were works of the peerlessly great men, books and photos introducing the invincibility of Songun Korea and fine art works showing the Korean people's talents. A deputy mayor of Dmitrov City of Moscow Region of Russia praised Kim Jong Il as the eternal leader of the Korean people and the world progressives, who turned the DPRK into a political and military power and laid solid foundations for building an economic power with his outstanding leadership. The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico spoke highly of the sacred revolutionary life of Kim Jong Il, who made immortal contributions to the cause of socialism and the human cause of independence, upholding the banner of Songun. The chief of a fine art exhibition in Djakarta, Indonesia said the exhibition provided an opportunity for having a better understanding of the DPRK's Songun politics as a political mode that makes fresh changes in all fabrics of social life including politics and economy with the army as the main force, not just as the policy of attaching importance to the military affairs. The chairman of the Romanian Socialist Union said it was thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il that the DPRK could become a nuclear weapons state and space power. Kim Jong Il made immortal contributions to carrying out the Korean revolution and the cause of global socialism, especially to ensuring peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of the world, the chairman added. |
