Japan's Moves for Militarization, Overseas Expansion Assailed

Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Japan now moves to get allowance for the exercise of the right to collective self-defense through the retrogressive revision of the present constitution, rename the "Self-Defense Forces" the "national defense forces" and loosen the worldwide standard as for the use of weapons by SDFs under the pretext of "saving Japanese residing overseas".

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This is the last-ditch efforts of the Japanese reactionaries to remove the hurdle in its way of becoming the "leader" of Asia, an ambition long harbored by them.

Citing facts to prove that Japan's moves for militarization and overseas expansion have reached a very adventurous phase, the commentary notes:

The world is now following Japan with great vigilance and concern as it is revealing its despicable colors as militarists.

Japan's moves for militarization and overseas expansion are gravely threatening the regional peace and security.

If Japan truly wants to become a normal state, it should be concerned about liquidating the unheard-of war crimes in the past including the heinous crimes against humanity, not resorting to such a mad act as retrogressively revising the constitution.

However desperate it may try to realize its old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere", it will get nothing but destruction and death.
