The whole city of Pyongyang was wrapped in a festive mood to welcome the heroes whom the nation should be proud of.

Crowds of Pyongyangites with bunches of flowers in their hands lined along the streets extending from Changjon Crossroads, Kim Il Sung Square, Pyongyang Grand Theatre, Yonggwang Street, Pyongyang Railway Station to Pyongyang Koryo Hotel.

Buses with those meritorious people aboard wove through the streets amid enthusiastic welcome.

As the buses arrived at Pyongyang Koryo Hotel, its employees put fragrant garlands around the necks of the meritorious people, and presented them with bunches of flowers.

They were warmly greeted by Kim Ki Nam and Pak To Chun, secretaries of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, and other officials of the Party Central Committee.
