The statement said that the recent nuclear test is a very just step taken by the DPRK to firmly protect its sovereignty from the extreme moves of the U.S. imperialists and their followers denying its independent right to space development for peaceful purposes.

They are getting evermore desperate in their moves to stifle socialism of the DPRK, it noted, adding:

The U.S., which has conducted most of nuclear tests in the world and shipped many nuclear weapons into south Korea, has no qualification to talk about the DPRK's nuclear test.

Other countries which accuse the DPRK's nuclear test also keep many nukes.

If the U.S. and its followers truly want peace on the Korean Peninsula, they should retract the UN Security Council's "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK and immediately withdraw aggression forces from south Korea.
