The meeting heard reports on activities in 2012 from representatives of various parts of Japan and discussed an orientation of their activities for this year.

The group set it as its goal to let broader strata of Japanese citizens and Koreans living in Japan know about the essence of social and historic issues which the Japanese government distorts and conceals and build up public opinion on them and encourage them to conduct positive activities for the termination of the human rights abuses and the withdrawal of the policy of national discrimination against the victims of Japan's colonial rule and their descendents this year.

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Japanese imperialists' massacre of Koreans during the great Kanto quake and the 65th anniversary of the April 24 action for education.

The group clarified its plan to survey the remains of victims of the Japanese imperialists' forcible drafting and stage actions for settling the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and the issue of supporting Korean schools.
