Attending there were officials of local party and power organs and working people's organizations, and service persons of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials and other people at industrial establishments and co-op farms, and teaches and students at universities and colleges in the localities.

The speakers said that through the nuclear test the DPRK dealt a merciless blow at the U.S., which wantonly violated its independent right to develop space, clearly showing the world the spirit that the DPRK does what it is determined to do.

Referring to the fact that all the servicepersons and people are vowing thousand-fold revenge on the U.S. and its allies, they added that stronger countermeasures would be taken in succession to cope with the escalated reckless moves of the enemies.

They also called upon all scientists and technicians to mount a more vigorous campaign to push back the frontiers of latest science and technology to propel the building of an economic power and highly civilized socialist country, with national pride and self-confidence of the successful nuclear test.
