The performance began with orchestral music and male chorus "Song of Korean People's Army". The repertoire included male choruses "The Glorious Motherland" and "The General Will Live Forever as the Sun", orchestral music and male chorus "Victors," male chorus "Peace Is Guaranteed by Arms" and mixed sextet and male chorus "People Have Single Mind".

The artistes sang of their deep reverence and feelings of thanks to the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who provided tremendous state capabilities for reliably defending the dignity and sovereignty of the nation all their life.

Choruses as powerful as song of advance for victory showed the truth that decision and pluck of the DPRK are exactly the iron faith and will of Marshal Kim Jong Un, another illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu, and that they represent the stamina and disposition of the army and people of the DPRK who are unswervingly following the path of independence, Songun and socialism despite whatever storm and stress.

Among the audience were senior party and state officials including Kim Yong Nam and Choe Yong Rim.
