Bulletins Released by Foreign Organizations to Mark Kim Jong Il's Birth Anniversary

Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- Foreign organizations published bulletins to celebrate Feb. 16, the birth anniversary of general secretary Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star). The Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna, Austria carried an article in its bulletin under the caption of "On Occasion of 71st Anniversary of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il" illustrated with a portrait of Kim Jong Il. The article said Kim Jong Il was born in Mt. Paektu on Feb. 16, 1942, and grew up in the crucible of the anti-Japanese war and the Fatherland Liberation War (Korean War). Kim Jong Il displayed outstanding leadership art, while working at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. As a prominent thinker and theoretician, he steadily developed the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung. Late in the 20th century, the Korean people had Kim Jong Il at the helm of the revolution, weathering out all difficulties and trials. Thanks to Kim Jong Il's Songun politics, the DPRK could defeat the U.S. and its followers' moves to stifle it and defend the sovereignty of the country. The Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association carried in its bulletin articles titled "Snow and Kim Jong Il", "Man of the Year Kim Jong Un", etc. Kim Jong Il dedicated himself to the prosperity of the country and its people's happiness all his life, said the articles, adding the Korean people and the world progressives would always remember his brilliant life. The Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea carried in its bulletin an article praising the ideological and theoretical exploits of Kim Jong Il, who indicated the road to be followed by humankind in the era of independence through his outstanding ideological and theoretical activities. |
