The right to launch a satellite for peaceful purposes is the universally accepted right which any country of the world is entitled to exercise.

The DPRK's launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 deserves praise, far from being problematic from the viewpoint of international law and in the light of the trend of the times when countries are making progress by dint of science and technology.

Nevertheless, the right of the DPRK to launch satellites for peaceful purposes was wantonly violated by the hostile acts of the U.S. and its allies.

The third underground nuclear test conducted by the DPRK recently was its exercise of the right to self-defense as it was aimed to meet the blatant challenge of hostile forces escalating their anti-DPRK confrontation racket over its space development for peaceful purposes and defend the sovereignty of the country.

In the wake of the DPRK's third underground nuclear test, the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces have made desperate efforts to realize their scenario for mounting a preemptive nuclear attack on it, talking about "additional provocation" and crying out for "establishing a posture for strong military counteractions ".

Now that the south Korean puppet regime is working hard to perpetrate provocations against the DPRK, making the provocation of a nuclear war a fait accompli, it is quite natural for the DPRK to bolster up war deterrent in every way in order to defend the sovereignty and preserve the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.

Inviolable is the DPRK's right to sovereignty.

If the U.S. and its allies persist in their hostile approaches in the future, too, they will not be able to escape the DPRK's merciless retaliatory actions.

The Korean people will surely win a final victory as they are advancing along the road of independence, convinced of their just cause.
