The Russian newspaper Byvor on February 15 carried an article with a photo of Kim Jong Il giving field guidance to the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm. The article said:

Kim Jong Il's was a life devoted to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people, the reunification of the country and the accomplishment of global independence, true to the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung.

Kim Jong Il was a great Songun brilliant commander, dear father of people and peerless patriot who wisely led socialist construction with his rare ideological and theoretical wisdom and outstanding leadership, fully possessed of personality and qualifications as a statesman.

The Ugandan newspaper Sun Rise on Feb. 15 carried an article with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The article said that he performed immortal exploits in carrying out the socialist cause, adding his greatest feat was that he defended socialism.

The Pakistani paper Baluchistan Times on Feb. 17 said:

The socialist policies have been invariably enforced and many grand edifices for the wellbeing of the people built in the DPRK under his leadership.

The immortal exploits he performed in carrying out the socialist cause will remain in the hearts of humankind forever.
