The renovation of the grinding shop provided a firm foundation of increasing the production of nonferrous metals and could contribute to the economic development of the country and the improvement of the people's standard of living.

An opening of the shop took place on Monday.

Present there were Thae Jong Su, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officials concerned and officials and employees of the complex.

At the ceremony a message of thanks of the Central Committee of the WPK was conveyed to workers, technicians and officials who performed merits in the renovation project.

The C.C., the WPK in the message said that the dear respected Kim Jong Un, who is successfully carrying out the behests of general secretary Kim Jong Il, acquainted himself in detail with the renovation project and brightly indicated the direction and ways for completing the project in the shortest time.

The message highly appreciated the workers, technicians and officials of the complex for successfully completing the project by displaying popular heroism and self-sacrificing spirit.
