The France-Korea Friendship Association carried an article illustrated with a photo of the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill.

The article said that instituting the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il as the Day of the Shining Star is a reflection of the unanimous aspiration and desire of all the Korean people for glorifying his exploits for all ages.

By pursuing his original Songun politics, he defended the sovereignty of the country, opened up the turning phase of building a thriving nation and made a great contribution to carrying out the national reunification, it noted.

The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea carried an article praising him for comprehensively pursuing the Songun politics in the mid-1990s, making public a lot of works and thus clarifying the way for carrying out the socialist cause.

The Swiss preparatory committee for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star carried many articles saying that he left the trace of patriotic devotion in every nook and corner of the country, built the national capacity in every way by pursuing the original Songun politics and provided the powerful war deterrent.

The Switzerland-Korea Committee, Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, Kim Jong Il Library in Ecuador, Anti-Imperialist Front of France and the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and the DPRK posted articles on the feats he performed in the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence.
