British Bodies Condemn Japan for Suppressing Chongryon

| Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association made public a joint statement on Feb. 20 denouncing Japan for escalating crackdown upon the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). The statement lashed out at the Japanese authorities for going reckless to do harm to the DPRK and suppress the body under the pretext of the DPRK's 3rd underground nuclear test. Chongryon is a dignified overseas compatriots body of the DPRK. The Japanese reactionaries' suppression of Chongryon is an intolerable challenge and human rights abuse against the DPRK. We bitterly condemn their suppression of Chongryon. We also called on the progressive British people to join in the movement for solidarity with Chongryon. |
