They got third degree burns on 30 percent of their bodies in a sudden accident early in November last year. They were admitted to the Kangwon Provincial People's Hospital.

They were in a critical condition, unable to properly breathe often.

Doctors' consultative meetings were held more than 80 times, a series of skin grafting operations took place and every necessary measure was taken to cure them.

Upward of 700 persons, including officials, doctors and nurses of the hospital, service personnel and students of Wonsan University of Medicine, donated their blood and skin for operations. Officials and other people visited the patients, bringing with them rare medicinal herbs and nutritious food, though they varied in their occupation and residential areas.

The patients left the hospital on Wednesday after being fully recovered in more than 110 days.
