Swedish Political Party's Organ Condemns U.S. Hostile Policy towards DPRK

Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The 7th issue of Proretaren, organ of the Communist Party of Sweden, carried a commentary titled "Nuke and threat" in denunciation of the West's racket to stifle the DPRK and hypocrisy over its nuclear test. The commentary said: In the wake of the nuclear test conducted by the DPRK, the West unanimously made uproar, describing its nukes as more dangerous than those of other countries. Who on earth is threatening whom? Where were those angered commentators when the U.S. subs and other warships were deployed in the waters off the Korean Peninsula last week for naval maneuvers with the south Korean navy. Still fresh in people's memory is hysteric reaction to the DPRK's satellite launch in Dec. last year. A peace treaty has not yet been concluded on the peninsula after the ceasefire. In other words, it is technically at war still now. Responsibility for this rests with the U.S. which is opposed to the signing of the peace treaty despite the efforts of the DPRK. The U.S. is interested in maintaining tension in this region for geopolitical reason. During the Korean War the U.S. worked out a plan to use nukes against the DPRK. After the war, it deployed nukes in south Korea, and the DPRK was on the list of the targets of U.S. nuclear attack. The U.S. is the only country which declared the offensive nuclear war strategy. We should view the DPRK's plan for the development of nukes for self-defence in the light of these facts. The U.S. dares not invade the DPRK as it has nukes. |
