The statement branded the suppression as an unpardonable provocation against the DPRK, an intolerable insult to the Korean nation and a crime wantonly violating international law, ethics and morality.

The statement said:

As known, the Japanese reactionaries took the additional "sanctions" measures of banning the reentry into Japan of senior officials of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon by taking the advantage of the U.S. moves for "sanctions" on the DPRK. They excluded Korean schools only from the list of tuition free program for senior high schools and suspended the payment of subsidies to Korean schools. They are launching a wholesale search operation against Korean businessmen and enterprises, groundlessly charging that they sent goods to the DPRK.

They prodded ultra-right gangsters to go on the rampage at Chongryon offices and Korean schools. The gangsters shouted "they would kill all Koreans", creating a terror-ridden atmosphere.

Such moves are aimed at the monstrous massacre of Koreans that was committed during the great Kanto quake 90 years ago.

The recent crackdown stepped up by the Japanese reactionaries is prompted by their intention to obstruct the Koreans in Japan from conducting righteous activities for national reunification and stamp out Chongryon organizations.

Their reckless act of the Japanese reactionaries is a despicable act to revenge on the DPRK by suppressing Koreans in Japan as they were taken aback by the might of the DPRK, which is making steady victorious progress as a legitimate nuclear weapons state and a country manufacturing and launching satellites recognized by the world. Their act only reveals their bad habit and inhumane and unethical nature.

The DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes was the independent right of a sovereign state recognized by international law, and the DPRK's nuclear test was also a very just measure for self-defence aimed to defend the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Asia from the U.S. nuclear war moves against the DPRK. Japan is not entitled to find fault with the DPRK's measures and do harm to Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

The Japanese reactionaries are acting as a shock brigade in supporting the U.S. "sanctions" racket against the DPRK. This exposes their disgusting nature as a stooge serving the U.S. master.

Japan should clearly understand that Korea is not a weak nation as it used to be in the past when it accepted Japan's colonial rule as a fate. Japan should stop running wild and immediately discontinue reckless suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

The Japanese reactionaries should bear in mind that their reckless involvement in the U.S. racket for "sanctions" on the DPRK and their persistent suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan will bring them merciless punishment by all the Koreans.
