They included the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, trade companies of China, general chairman of the Central Directive Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, chairman and general secretary of the Nepal Council for World Affairs, general secretary of the Communist Party of Democratic Congo, general secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Democratic Congo, general secretary of the People's Rally for Socialism of Democratic Congo and the chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association.

Colorful events praising the feats of the peerlessly great men took place in different parts of the world in little over a month before and after the Day of the Shining Star.

A ceremony for unveiling a tablet to honor Kim Jong Il was held at Gaban Hotel, Vladivostok City of Russia.

Kimjongilia shows were held at Dalian City, Liaoning Province of China, Sovetskaya Gaban region of Khabarovsk Territory and the Museum of Nakhodka City and a national seminar took place in Benin. Meetings, lectures, round-table talks, photo exhibitions and film shows were held under the sponsorship of governments, political parties, organizations and preparatory committees for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star in more than 80 countries and regions.

Media of different countries widely introduced the revolutionary life of Kim Jong Il, who provided an eternal foundation for the prosperity of Kim Il Sung' Korea and Kim Il Sung's nation and performed immortal feats in the human cause of independence.

The Russian paper Argumenti I Fakti and the Zimbabwean paper Herald carried the short biography of Kim Jong Il.

Foreign papers, magazines, TV broadcasting services and websites gave publicity to portraits of smiling Kim Jong Il and photos on his revolutionary activities and articles titled "The great leader Kim Jong Il is alive in the hearts of humankind", "Illustrious commander of Songun" and "Feats performed in the cause of socialism". They included the Mongolian paper Mongolyn Medee, the Thai paper Xing San Daily, the German paper Rote Fahne, the Ugandan paper Sun Rise, the Hong Kong, China, magazine International Relations and the Mongolian MNCTV.

The above-said events that took place on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star clearly proved that Kim Jong Il is the great sun of Songun who is always alive in the hearts of all the people.
