DPRK's Nuclear Test, Expression of Wrath towards Hostile Forces: Egyptian Politician

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- The DPRK's nuclear test was a measure for self-defence to cope with the nuclear threat from the U.S. and other hostile forces. This was stated by Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, member of the Supreme Committee of the Socialist Freedom Party of Egypt and chief for Public Relations and National Security of the party, in a statement on Feb. 16. The DPRK did not violate international law, he noted, and continued: It just took a decisive measure to cope with the anachronistic moves of the U.S. to suffocate it, occupying half of the Korean Peninsula. The U.S. is brandishing a club against those countries which refuse to meekly obey it. The DPRK has military capability strong enough to defend its territory. Its recent nuclear test was an expression of the wrath of its army and people towards the hostile forces. We express full support and solidarity for the just stand of the DPRK to foil the U.S. moves to occupy the whole of the peninsula. The satellite launch represents scientific and technological activities for peaceful purposes to bring benefits to mankind and it is an exercise of the independent right of a sovereign state which is not contrary to any international law. The U.S. and its allies betrayed their repugnance towards the social system and people of the DPRK and their aggressive nature. We support the decisive step taken by the DPRK. |
