The appeal said that the Korean Peninsula is exposed to the danger of a nuclear war, adding that the U.S. is to blame for the prevailing situation.

A war is quite likely to be a reality unless the U.S. rolls back its hostile policy toward the north, the appeal said, adding:

What merits a serious attention is that large-scale U.S. and south Korea joint military drills Key Resolve and Foal Eagle are being staged and the south Korean military authorities are persisting in their bellicose actions, crying out for an preemptive attack on the north against the backdrop of a touch-and-go situation.

The appeal called upon all people to turn out in the actions to protect peace from a war with their concerted efforts.

It called for waging dynamic actions for peace against war including sit-in strike, demonstration, internet action, candlelight meeting with strong determination at a time when 60 odd day-long joint military drills are under way from March to April.
