Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- Rosanita Campos, vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, contributed an article titled "The DPRK's nuclear deterrent is for self-defence" to the newspaper Hora do Povo on March 1. The U.S. should choose between the two options: Either to head for detente and stability or to lead the situation to an explosive point by sticking to its hostile policy toward the DPRK, the article said, and went on: The U.S. is abusing the signboard of the UN to check the DPRK's satellite launch for such peaceful purposes as scientific and technological advance and the improvement of the people's living standard and nuclear program. The U.S. and its allies are tightening sanctions against the DPRK to strangle its economy. The DPRK never allows the provocations of the U.S. escalating the tension by instigating the south Korean authorities but steadily pushes ahead with its space development and nuclear program as required by its independent right. The Korean people regard the success in the third underground nuclear test as a great victory and special event, results of the iron will and courage of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. The DPRK's nuclear test was a step taken for self-defence to cope with the U.S. and its allies' hostile acts of violating the rights of an independent and sovereign state. |
