Ro Song Sil, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea, in a report recalled that the Korean women's movement has covered a road of proud victories along with the sacred history of the Korean revolution under the wise leadership of the great persons of Mt. Paektu.

She said:

President Kim Il Sung gave origin to the Korean women's movement of Juche and established its brilliant tradition in the crucible of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle in his early years.

Under his energetic leadership Kang Pan Sok, an indomitable revolutionary fighter, formed the Anti-Japanese Women's Association. This marked an epochal occasion of landmark significance in the Korean women's movement.

After the country's liberation he formed the Democratic Women's Union of Korea and made sure that the law on gender equality, the first of its kind in history, was worked out and promulgated. He made tireless efforts to give a final solution to the issue of women.

Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, performed great feats in the development of the movement for the women's emancipation in Korea, true to his original idea and policy.

Recorded in the history of the Korean women's movement shining with victories and glory are the undying revolutionary exploits leader Kim Jong Il performed by developing the Korean women's movement at a new high stage under the banner of Songun.

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un made the Mother's Day instituted for the first time in the Korean history and provided the 4th National Meeting of Mothers on the occasion of the day.

The reporter said that the world knows no such happy and proud people as the Korean people who live, holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem as their great leader and tender-hearted father.
