The women are the flowers of society, the collective and families, and a powerful force of building a thriving nation.

President Kim Il Sung established the new traditions of the Juche-based women's movement and created the Democratic Women's Union of Korea soon after Korea's liberation.

This was a great event that brought about a radical change in the destiny and position of the women who had been subject to social inequality and feudal fetters for centuries.

The President clearly indicated the way to be followed by the Korean women's movement in each period and at each stage of the developing revolution and warmly led them.

Thanks to his benevolent loving care, the women could become the powerful force pushing one of the wheels of the revolutionary chariot.

Leader Kim Jong Il, true to the President's intention, made sure that women were respected on this land by taking warm care of the women ranging from their political integrity to their life.

His love for the women can be illustrated by such facts as the state policies which were enforced even in the hard time, and maternity hospitals, nurseries and kindergartens built in different parts of the country.

Under the warm loving care of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, a great many women became heroes of the times, labor innovators and women officials, and their noble traits and revolutionary stamina were fully displayed.

The Juche-oriented movement of the Korean women, which covered the course of victory and glory under the wise leadership of the peerlessly great persons, has greeted a new heyday as they are holding in high esteem the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

So admirable are the ideological and moral traits of the women who grew up under the loving care of the great Generalissimos, and are leading their worthwhile life under the loving care of Kim Jong Un.

It is the Korean women who are living as the roots of the country to bring up the standard-bearers of the times and the future of the revolution who can play their roles in the building of a thriving nation, fully determined to share the destiny with the party, revolution and socialism to the last.

The Party and country are very proud of having the large contingent of women revolutionaries who are very loyal to the Party and the leader and devoting themselves to society and the collective.
