The warmongers are working to mislead public opinion, describing the joint military exercises as "annual and defensive ones" but can never cover their nature, gravity and danger as ones for mounting a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK, the statement said, and went on:

The U.S. and its allies cooked up the UN Security Council's "resolution on sanctions", labeling the DPRK's legitimate satellite launch for peaceful purposes as a "long-range missile launch". They are also escalating military tension on the Korean Peninsula by taking issue with the DPRK over its third underground nuclear test.

Not content with this, they have kicked up the war maneuvers, undisguisedly revealing their attempt at preemptive strike at the DPRK.

It bitterly condemned the unpardonable criminal act of pushing the situation to the brink of a nuclear war, urging the U.S. and the south Korean authorities to stop at once the reckless and criminal joint military exercises.
