US-S. Korea Joint War Drills Condemned

Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Progress of south Korea and 16 other civic and social organizations and members of opposition parties released a joint statement with foreign peace movement bodies and figures on March 4, denouncing the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet warlike forces.

The statement said as the U.S. stages the large-scale joint military exercises with south Korea every year, the Korean War has not yet ended.

Such war drills as Key Resolve, Foal Eagle and Ulji Freedom Guardian are escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula, it said.

It urged the south Korean and U.S. authorities to stop the war maneuvers at once and take positive steps for the detente of the peninsula. -0-
