Signature Campaign for Solidarity with DPRK Launched in Pakistan
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- A ceremony of kicking off a signature campaign for solidarity with the cause of independent and peaceful reunification of Korea took place in Pakistan on Feb. 24.

A report by the secretary general of the Karachi branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association was followed by speeches of the general secretary of the Pakistan National Federation of Trade Unions, the general secretary of the Sind State Committee of the Pakistan Awami National Party and others.

The reporter and speakers said that the U.S. forces in south Korea are disturbers of peace, the main stumbling block lying in the way of Korea's reunification and a constant source of a new war on the Korean Peninsula as they have imposed all sorts of misfortune and pain upon the Korean people.

They urged the U.S. to withdraw its forces and nukes from south Korea at once and replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty.

They denounced all the moves against the implementation of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing it. They demanded the U.S. let the Korean people reunify their country in line with their aspiration and will.

They expressed the expectation that the Korean people would achieve bigger successes in the struggle for national reunification under the wise leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The participants signed the signature in solidarity with the cause of independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.
