Lee was censured by public opinions for various kinds of scandals in the whole period of his office and typical among them were the case of purchasing a housing lot in Naegok-dong, the case of illegal surveillance on civilians and the BBK stock price manipulation, the editorials said.

One should neither cover up nor shut one's eyes to the disclosed suspicions, the editorials held, demanding the prosecution authorities make a thoroughgoing investigation into all scandals related to Lee Myung Bak.

The prosecution authorities should bear in mind that the people will never pardon them if they gloss over the scandals and Lee's family should no longer intend to shun the legal judgment, warned the editorials.
