DPRK Stamp Marks 150th Anniversary of ICRC

| Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- A new kind of stamp was issued in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to mark the 150th anniversary of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The stamp pictures the emblem and building of the International Committee of the Red Cross, with letters "In Commemoration of 150th Anniversary of ICRC" in its upper part. The DPRK Red Cross Society was founded in October Juche 35 (1946). It received recognition from the International Committee of the Red Cross on February 2, 1956 and joined the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on May 11 that year. |
